Associate Attorney
Position Overview:
We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join our team and provide a wide range of legal services. The ideal candidate should have excellent research and writing skills, excellent courtroom presence and strong negotiation skills. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for understanding and resolving legal issues, preparing legal documents, representing clients in court, and providing advice and counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage caseloads and legal matters from consultation to completion
Analyze legal matters and provide counsel to clients
Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and opinions
Represent clients in settlement negotiations and in court
Prepare and present legal defenses and arguments in court
Identify and analyze legal issues and prepare strategies to research and resolve
Prepare and review contracts, pleadings, and other related legal documents
Consult and advise clients on legal issues
Work with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
Qualifications:
A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Bar license in good standing and in compliance with the laws of the state where practicing
Experience with defense litigation and trial preparation
Experience with records review, depositions and motions
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Strong negotiation and courtroom presence
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other legal technology software
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Commitment to ethical legal practice
