Position Overview:
The Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial audit process for various clients, including non-profit organizations. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in CPA, audit, and assurance, with experience managing audits and financial reports. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively lead a team and ensure accuracy and compliance in all audit procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee financial audits for clients, including non-profit organizations- Develop audit plans and ensure compliance with auditing standards- Review and analyze financial statements and reports- Lead and supervise audit teams, providing guidance and support as needed- Communicate audit findings to clients and provide recommendations for improvement- Monitor and track the progress of audits and ensure timely completion- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in auditing standards- Identify potential risks and issues and make necessary adjustments to audit procedures- Collaborate with other departments, including finance and legal, to ensure a comprehensive audit process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation- Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, with at least 2 years in a management role- Strong understanding of auditing standards and procedures- Experience working with non-profit organizations and Employee Benefit Plans (EBP) is preferred- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to effectively manage and lead a team- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools/software.
