We are one of the largest full service public accounting and business advisory firms in New Jersey. We are looking for an experienced Audit Supervisor/Manager to join our team. The Audit Supervisor/Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing audit engagements in a variety of industries. The successful candidate will be a CPA with strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), and have extensive experience in managing audit and assurance engagements.
Position Overview:
The Audit Supervisor & Manager is responsible for the successful execution of audit and assurance engagements. This includes supervising audit teams, managing projects, and ensuring that all engagements are completed according to the highest standards. The Audit Supervisor & Manager will be responsible for preparing financial statements, preparing reports for clients, and providing guidance to audit staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor audit staff
Manage the execution of audit and assurance engagements
Oversee the preparation of financial statements
Prepare reports and communicate results to clients
Review audit work papers and reports for accuracy
Conduct research into accounting and auditing issues
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Provide guidance and feedback to audit staff
Ensure timely completion of engagements
Monitor engagements to ensure all deadlines are met
Act as primary contact for clients on engagements
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of engagements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
CPA certification
5+ years of experience in public accounting
Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
8+ years of Experience as an Audit Supervisor or Assurance Manager
