Immediate opening for a Controls/Electrical Engineer with experience in a production environment. Candidates should possess competency in using the following software: MSOffice Suite, ACAD and PLC programming. An Engineering Degree is preferred, and 5 years related experience. Practical experience directly related to Equipment repair and/or design is also required. The Controls Engineer shall be responsible for maintaining the control components of all process equipment and participate in maintaining plant utilities and facilities. He/she shall plan, design, and direct the modification of existing production equipment controls to maximize productivity. As necessary the Controls Engineer will participate in procuring and install additional process equipment to increase capacity. Knowledge of motor drives, hydraulics and pneumatics is essential to enact equipment repairs. At the discretion of the Controls Engineer, hands-on assistance may be necessary to expedite equipment repairs. Facilitating the collection of processing data from production equipment to network database tables is another important function of the plant engineer. The Controls Engineer must participate in evaluating the safety designs of process equipment and recommend and implement improvements to ensure the safe operation of our production equipment.
