Who you are:
Bachelors degree in engineering or related discipline
8+ years experience in Aerospace, Space, Defense or Specialized Commercial organization with significant emphasis on electronics or electromechanical manufacturing operations
3 years+ experience in a senior operations leadership role
Strong vendor management skills
Strong communication and leadership ability
Ability to work collaboratively with other operational disciplines.
Knowledge in MRP systems and implementations.
Production Space build experience preferred.
What you will be doing:
Lead operations in achieving needs by developing, planning, and administering manufacturing operations including plans, budgets, policies and procedures.
Develop budgets for equipment expenditures and direct / indirect labor; development and implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost, schedule and quality results.
Oversee production, stockroom, testing, purchasing, facilities and shipping / receiving functional organizations.
Accountable for product metrics and performance, including quality delivery, responsiveness, cost, capital plans, on-time delivery and required operational staffing.
Maintain safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility by understanding of applicable quality system, customer requirements and operational compliance (e.g. ISO9001 and AS9100, and OSHA.)
Establish performance metrics, standards and measurements for direct reports.
Manage and coach direct reports performance to create and enhance operational efficiencies, improve and create a positive work environment.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program information to senior management.
Drive emerging trends and technologies in manufacturing excellence as a key member of the senior leadership team.
Review new product quotes with sales, assuring adequate resources are available to take on new business and prove a timely reply to quote requests.
Must have strong understanding of production and fabrication of electro-mechanical components.
Will work with Engineering to support direction of design and development of tooling and manufacturing processes for both custom and proprietary products.
Will advise the companies VP and President of all-important matters, which may require immediate action or attention at the level in the organization.
Support client requests as needed.
Conduct budget and resource planning in accordance with upcoming programs, company initiatives, and goals.
Interface with clients related to legacy or production programs.
