We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Construction Estimator to join our team!
Overview
As an Electrical Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role is essential to helping us deliver quality projects on budget and on schedule. You will work closely with our project managers, engineers, and clients, providing estimates for various phases of the project lifecycle, from initial concept through completion.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scopes, specifications, and client requirements.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to accurately estimate costs.
Prepare bid proposals and participate in project bidding processes.
Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
Monitor and adjust estimates based on project updates, changes, or unforeseen challenges.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
Contribute to cost-saving strategies and provide recommendations for project efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction estimating, preferably with large commercial and industrial projects.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Conest, Surecount are what we use).
Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification is preferred.
