Senior Estimator

Position Overview
The Senior Estimator is responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for fire protection systems in construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of fire sprinkler systems, construction processes, and effective project management to ensure successful bidding and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems in various construction projects
Review project plans and specifications to identify scope and requirements
Coordinate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information
Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive estimates
Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations relevant to fire protection
Participate in bid meetings and provide insight into project feasibility and pricing strategies
Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for accurate pricing
Stay current with industry trends, codes, and technologies related to fire protection systems

Qualifications

Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and related codes
Familiarity with NFPA standards and regulations
Experience with project management practices
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost estimation
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
NICET certification in fire protection is a plus
Experience with various building types including residential, commercial, and industrial
