Tax Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee our tax compliance and planning functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the tax team and ensuring that all tax-related activities are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The Tax Manager will also play a crucial role in developing tax strategies, minimizing tax liabilities, and providing tax guidance to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws.
- Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training and guidance as necessary.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Prepare and review internal tax reports and documentation.
- Assist in the development of tax-related policies and procedures.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
