Job Title: Director of Legal Operations
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 + Quarterly KPI Bonus ($1,000 - $1,500)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (In-person role)
We are a fast-growing and reputable law firm in West Palm Beach seeking an experienced Litigation Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a high-priority role, and we are looking for the right candidate to step in and help the team create the next level of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Team Oversight: Manage a team of 10+ individuals, including paralegals, assistants, and support staff. Approve time-off requests, handle minor employee issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Administration Management (50% of role): Oversee the administrative functions within the litigation team, ensuring efficiency and smooth operations.
Audits and Efficiency (40% of role): Conduct regular audits of work product, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies that enhance team productivity and contribute to long-term success.
Problem-Solving: Occasionally step in for high-priority challenges that require a strong leader to handle complex issues.
Requirements:
Paralegal Degree or Formal Business Education - MBA is a plus but not required
Paralegal Experience: A strong foundation as a paralegal with at least 5-10 years of experience in a litigation environment, preferably in a personal injury firm.
Management & Leadership: Proven experience in managing teams of 10+ individuals, with demonstrated leadership skills.
Experience in Larger Firms: Ideal candidates will have a background in larger law firms, with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in managing a legal team.
HR Knowledge: Ability to handle day-to-day employee situations that don't require HR intervention. Our experienced HR will support you as needed.
Efficiency-Focused: Comfortable with conducting audits and utilizing tools like Domo for reporting and performance tracking.
Ability to Adapt: A background in paralegal work and subsequent transition to management in another industry is acceptable, as long as you have the necessary leadership skills.
