Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Wood Dale, IL
Salary: $55k - $95k (Depending on Experience)
Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline / 1+ years of technical engineering experience / Experience working with industrial heavy equipment, machines, or manufacturing environment (Desired) / Equipment design (motors, couplings, bearings) knowledge or interest
Additional ways in which a candidate may stand out would be:
- Experience in 3D Modeling using AutoCAD/Autodesk, Inventor, or similar
- Mechanical Design using AutoCAD 2D (Helpful)
- Develop drawings and specifications for new and modified designs of heavy industrial equipment
- Create models and drawings and present design reviews for machines
- Assist in maximizing machine efficiencies by analyzing design of machine parts and lay-out designs
- Review and develop test plans in order to mitigate design risks and improve product designs
- Review, develop, and prepare project documentation following industry and internal standards
- Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers and other departments both written and orally
- Work with internal departments in order to ensure designs are streamlined for manufacturability
- Drafts technical documents and drawings using CAD programs
