We are a strong company that supports the direct mail industry looking for someone to focus on all USPS technologies. You will be the liaison between our business units and technology teams for everything in regards to postal affairs.
We are about to launch new postal services and you will work directly with leadership on the future strategy for how to manage our presort.
This is a technical role in the Information Technology team not an operational position. You will keep all of our postal requirements in order, mail.dat versions, CASS tables, drop ship minimums, STID table management, Monticello post presort, etc. As a company that mails 1.6 Billion pieces of mail per year, how we structure commingle vs. direct is really important and we have all sorts of business rules to manage how we do that.
We prefer someone onsite or hybrid, but would consider REMOTE if this is a good fit!
What You Will Be Doing
- Daily partnership with technology teams responsible for maintaining all postal software. Act as key business sponsor for all things USPS technology, including presort software, commingle software, post presort software, mail.dat workflows and versions, labeling lists, postalone! etc.
- Coordinate all USPS changes through the enterprise, partnering with Postal Affairs management and business management. This includes mail.dat version changes, presort data updates, etc.
- Update USPS data, i.e. labelling lists, presort data, as appropriate.
- Maximize quality control by implementing and maintaining a rigorous testing process. Recommend improvements in this area.
- Analyze systems to determine how to obtain better efficiencies and effect to production and business systems.
- Maintains USPS technology process flow documentation throughout the enterprise.
- Recommends procedural and business process workflow changes.
- Provides training and guides to improve USPS regulation understanding throughout the enterprise.
- Creates project time lines.
- Works closely with developers to debug internal software applications and updates.
- Tests new software and systems to ensure final goals can be met.
- Implements approved changes. Coordinates conducts training for new systems.
- Documents changes to ensure process is accurate and quantifiable.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelors degree or 7+ years of related business experience supporting Postal Affairs/USPS technologies and data.
- Experience with Mailstream Plus, Windowbook, Anchor MaxCASS, and MaxMover a plus.
- Experience with SQL is a plus.
