As a Territory Sales Manager Engineering, you will have the opportunity to join an industry-leading team in the Manufacturing industry. We are seeking an experienced technical sales professional with rotating equipment experience to grow sales for our line of bushings and case rings. Our job is to help our customers solve their toughest bearing problems. We sell our trademarked self-lubricating bushings specifically for high temperature, run-dry and submerged applications, where ordinary bearings fail. Our Territory Sales Managers solve new and interesting bearing problems every day. Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing, the candidate will have a degree in a technical field, experience successfully selling solution-oriented products to our markets, mechanical aptitude and experience calling on the OEM pump and pump repair markets. Experience calling on oil & gas refineries is a plus.
" Achieve target levels for sales revenue, new customer development, contact reports and other goals as may be established for the territory.
" Identify, pursue, capture and grow business with target customers/applications within the assigned territory. Create a list of target companies within the area and develop sales strategies to target these accounts.
" Arrange meetings with current and potential customers to communicate information regarding the companys products and capabilities.
" Develop superior customer relationships and work with these customers to solve their bearing issues. This requires visiting accounts frequently and effectively., about 30-35% overnight travel.
" Develop extensive knowledge of company products, applications, and strategic focus.
" Analyze competitor activities in the territory and uncover opportunities for business development.
" Attend relevant industry events and conferences to build the business.
" Work closely with our inside engineering and customer service teams to provide customers with excellent service.
" Solicit quoting opportunities and follow-up on existing quotes.
" Submit accurate and timely contact reports using our CRM.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Ability to travel 30 - 35% overnight (this position is remote for the other 65 - 70% of the time)
- Technical background with rotating equipment
- Must be located anywhere in the Portland to Seattle general region
- $90k - $125k/year DOE
