Summary:
The Senior Plant Accountant will manage one of our plant's finance activities, including cost accounting, inventory control, and revenue recognition processes. In addition to helping with forecasts and budgets, the Senior Plant Accountant will be in charge of generating timely and accurate reporting, including daily, monthly, and annual financials.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and controls the accounting and finance departments to guarantee the timeliness and accuracy of the data that is recorded and released.
- Ensures the integrity and security of financial reports and records by managing and administering the cash management, accounting, costing, and administrative support tasks.
- Contributes to the yearly budget and the mechanisms that track and report actual performance against the budget on a monthly basis, working with the Director of FP&A and other key management.
- Helps managers find, document, and address the reasons behind budgetary deviations.
- Keeps track of QMC's progress toward meeting its cost and gross margin goals on a regular and ongoing basis; makes sure that all expenses are accurately attributed to ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's in Accounting or related field
-4+ years of relevant experience
-Accounting experience in manufacturing environment
-Cost accounting experience
