Position Overview:
The Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient and timely completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction, specifically in retail and tenant improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and supervise all construction activities on the project site
2. Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines
3. Monitor project progress and ensure quality workmanship
4. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
5. Conduct site inspections and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner
6. Manage and approve project budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices are followed
7. Communicate with project stakeholders, providing updates on project progress
8. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
9. Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of construction workers
10. Make decisions and solve problems effectively to keep the project on track
Qualifications:
1. Strong industry knowledge
2. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes and techniques
4. Excellent project management and organizational skills
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
6. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
8. Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols
9. Ability to make decisions and solve problems effectively
10. Availability to work flexible hours and travel to project sites as needed.
