Job Title: Supply Chain Manager (aka Production Control Manager)
Location: Marion, TX
Salary: $84,000 - $103,000/ year
Position Overview: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the supply chain process, from procurement and production to logistics and delivery. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products
- Oversee procurement, sourcing, and purchasing processes to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production planning and scheduling
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to ensure the best value for the company
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including sales, finance, and operations
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain
- Supervise and train supply chain team members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of responsibilities
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasting and analyzing costs to identify opportunities for cost savings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
- Experience with procurement, purchasing, and inventory management
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analytics tools
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Understanding of automotive industry supply chain processes is a plus- Availability to travel as needed.
