Associate Attorney with Houston area firm

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and driven Associate Attorney with a passion for litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently. You will be responsible for assisting senior attorneys in all aspects of litigation, from case preparation to trial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload, including civil, commercial, and other general litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to effectively manage cases.
• Prepare case summaries, reports, and other documents to keep clients informed.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• 3+ years of experience in general litigation (trial experience preferred but not required).
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow professionally.
