Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: West Palm Beach area - Hybrid - three days a week in office, after the first 90 days.
Salary: 150k-200k depending on experience

We are a very high level Nonprofit Organization who is committed to helping families in crisis with housing options.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. This individual will oversee all financial operations, ensuring transparency, sustainability, and growth in line with our mission.
Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus, but not required.
We are also open to candidates coming from the for-profit sector who are passionate about making an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead financial strategy and planning for the organization, ensuring alignment with the overall mission and vision.
-Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting process.
-Manage financial operations, including accounting, audits, and financial compliance.
-Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient, transparent, and compliant operations.
-Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and recommendations to the board of directors and senior leadership team.
-Ensure proper internal controls and risk management strategies are in place.
-Lead fundraising efforts related to financial strategy, including grant and funding proposal development.
-Maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, donors, and grant providers.
-Provide strategic insights to maximize financial performance and operational effectiveness.
-Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
-Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior financial management role; nonprofit experience is a plus but not required.
-Strong understanding of financial principles, reporting requirements, and compliance standards.
-Expertise in financial software and systems, including QuickBooks, Excel, or similar tools.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex financial situations.
-Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
-CPA or equivalent certification.
-Experience with grant management and fundraising strategies.
-Knowledge of nonprofit accounting software and fundraising platforms.
