Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Required Skills
Thorough understanding of 24v DC, 120v AC, 240v AC, and 480v AC electrical circuits, in both single and three phase.
Thorough understanding of VFD motor controls.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Ability to manage time and priorities.
Ability to be a great team player who works well with our customers, company management and the project team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willing to travel within North America including Mexico up to 25% of the time
Job Duties
Lead a team of electrical engineers designing all types of conveyor components and systems
Interface with project engineering/management to verify equipment requirements
Liaising with electrical and software engineers and vendors in product development
Attending design reviews, and customer job-site meetings, when required
Travel to customer meetings, manufacturing vendors or job sites.
Provide technical support to project managers, equipment assemblers and site supervisors
CAD Design, development and engineering from a conceptual idea.
Perform duties of the mechanical engineer or designer when requested
Experience
Conveyor Systems for the Automotive Manufacturing
Familiar with GM, Ford, and FCA Electrical Controls Standards
4 Year Engineering Degree
Minimum of three years experience designing PLC Systems
