Human Services & Healthcare Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Human Services & Healthcare Attorney to join our legal team in Buffalo, NY. This role is focused on providing expert legal counsel on a wide range of healthcare regulations, corporate governance, and compliance issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare law and a passion for business development and client service. Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and support on healthcare regulatory matters and compliance issues regarding home health agencies, nursing facilities, hospitals, adult care facilities ect.
Assist in corporate governance and transactional matters related to a range of healthcare organizations.
Conduct legal research and analysis on healthcare laws and regulations.
Represent clients in healthcare-related litigation and negotiations.
Assist in investigations related to healthcare compliance and regulatory issues.
Assist with mergers, acquisitions and affiliations of health care entity and physician practices
Draft and review legal documents including contracts, policies, and procedures relevant to healthcare practices.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor
Active state bar membership in the state of NY
3+ years of experience in healthcare law or related practice areas.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, corporate governance, and compliance.
Experience with Anti-Kickback, Fraud and Abuse, HIPAA and telemedicine is preferred
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with clients and other legal professionals.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary for this position, ranging between $120,000 -$140,000 annually. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K plans. We have an annual standard of 1800 billable hours with 50 hours of pro bono service(treated as billable). We have a set partnership track, so you'll know where you're headed from day 1!
