Litigation Defense Attorney - Professional Liability

Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Defense Attorney specializing in Professional Liability to join our legal team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, providing expert legal representation for clients in various professional fields. The attorney will be responsible for navigating complex litigation processes to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and arguments
  • Prepare for trials, including drafting motions, briefs, and witness preparation
  • Represent clients in court, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and contracts
  • Manage all aspects of case files, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and deadlines
  • Engage in discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document requests
  • Advise clients on legal rights and obligations related to professional liability issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and case law in the field of professional liability
  • Assist in developing case strategies and providing risk assessments for clients
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to enhance case outcomes and client satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active state bar license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, focusing on professional liability
  • Strong skills in legal research and writing
  • Proven experience in trial preparation and client representation
  • Excellent negotiation and mediation skills
  • Thorough understanding of civil procedure and litigation processes
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral advocacy skills and courtroom presence
