Salary: Up to $85k + bonus
Location/Schedule: Four 10s (8am - 6:30pm) Monday through Thursday in San Clemente, CA
Requirements: Associates degree (B.S. strongly preferred) + 3 years of QA experience + 1 year of supervisory experience

Due to growth we have opened up a brand new position and are seeking a QA Supervisor with experience in the flavorings industry to lead a team of 6 techs. This role will report directly to the QA Manager, who will mostly oversee audits and regulatory tasks while the QA Supervisor will manage day to day operations and communication between our clients and internal department heads in R&D, Production and Operations.

What You Will Be Doing

This is a working supervisor role responsible for leading a team of 6 techs to cover day to day operations for the quality department, including:

Oversee daily QA Operations, guiding and verifying work
Lead training and development of QA staff including performance management
Update HACCP, SOP and QA programs, ensuring BRC compliance
Prepare quality reports and verify flavors meet standards
Communicate non-conforming products and assist in complaint investigations
Perform GMP inspections and coordinate corrective actions
Maintain compliance with quality management systems through record keeping
Proactively look for ways to enhance the QA department

What You Need for this Position

3+ years of QA experience with 1 year of supervisory experience

AS degree in Quality, Microbiology, Food Science or similar (B.S. strongly preferred)
Experience mentoring and training employees
Knowledge of Food Safety programs and practices
HACCP certified

Flavorings industry experience is a huge plus!
