We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team at our manufacturing headquarters in Orange County, California. This position is responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with DCAA, FAR, and DFARS regulations, and maintaining financial controls within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in accounting and finance to support our government contracts and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial reports in compliance with DCAA, FAR, and DFARS regulations
Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for manufacturing projects
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and answering auditor inquiries
Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and improve reporting processes
Utilize ERP and MRP systems to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff accountants

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or government contracting environment
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance regulations (DCAA, FAR, DFARS)
Experience with financial controls and audit processes
Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
