Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant with extensive experience in trust/estate tax preparation (Form 1041), individual tax returns, partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, providing strategic tax planning, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review complex individual (1040), trust/estate (1041), partnership (1065), S-corporation (1120S), and C-corporation (1120) tax returns.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, particularly in the areas of trusts, estates, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Analyze clients' financial situations to identify tax-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Review and interpret tax regulations, and provide guidance on tax implications for various structures.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax documents and provide updates on filing status.
- Assist with the preparation of estate and gift tax filings, including preparation of Form 706, 709, and related documents.
- Stay current with tax law changes and proactively adjust strategies to benefit clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, specifically with individual, trust/estate, partnership, S-corp, and C-corp tax returns.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, especially in relation to estates, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
