An established firm based in Des Moines, IA, with over 50 years in practice, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. This full-service firm specializes in various areas, including municipal, litigation, transactional, and healthcare matters. They are searching for an Associate Attorney with 4-10+ years of experience in municipal law, ideally with a background in public sector matters and government regulations.
Offer:
$75,000 - $130,000+ contingent on experience

Qualifications:
4-10+ years of municipal law experience
Strong knowledge of public sector legal issues, government regulations, zoning, land use, and administrative law
Iowa Bar in good standing
Juris Doctorate
Responsibilities:
Managing a caseload involving municipal matters, including advising city councils, boards, and municipal departments
Drafting and reviewing ordinances, resolutions, and other regulatory documents
Providing legal guidance on zoning, land use, and public sector regulations
Representing clients in administrative hearings and municipal court proceedings
Collaborating with other attorneys on complex municipal law issues
Maintaining case files and ensuring all documentation is up to date
