An established firm with over 40 years of experience is a leading full-service defense firm specializing in education, government, civil litigation, employment, personal injury, construction, and real estate. The firm is actively seeking Of Counsels with a minimum of eight years of experience to join their Marin, Sacramento, Cerritos, Pasadena, and Riverside offices. This position is ideal for people with expertise in labor and employment law, especially in the public sector.
Offer:
$150,000 - $250,000 contingent on experience

Qualifications:
8+ years of experience practicing labor and employment law, with an emphasis on public sector labor relations and employment issues
Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight, following high-level direction from supervising attorneys or partners
Experience with labor relations, public sector employment law, and private labor law practice before the NLRB
Familiarity with government law topics related to public sector employment (e.g., California's open meeting and public records laws) is a plus
Strong academic credentials from a top 50 law school or top 15% of class from a non-top-50 school preferred
California Bar in good standing
Juris Doctorate
Responsibilities:
Independently managing a caseload involving labor and employment litigation, including public sector labor relations and unique statutory and constitutional protections for public employees
Conducting investigations, labor arbitrations, and handling labor relations and collective bargaining matters
Providing strategic advice and counsel to clients on public sector employment issues
Representing clients in administrative and court proceedings
Supporting partners on complex public sector cases and consulting on government law topics
