Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Piping Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with industrial and commercial piping projects, ensuring that all necessary materials and labor are accounted for. This role is crucial in enabling the company to submit competitive bids and manage project budgets effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work
Prepare detailed piping estimates by analyzing labor, material, and overhead costs
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary project information
Conduct take-offs from drawings to accurately quantify materials needed
Evaluate offers and bids from subcontractors and suppliers
Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients
Maintain accurate records of estimates and project changes
Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related issues

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Proven experience as a piping estimator in the construction industry
Strong understanding of piping systems and processes
Proficiency in estimating software and tools
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Knowledge of welding, HVAC, and plumbing systems is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
